게임스톱(GME) 주식분할 공시 분석

오늘은 미국 주식계의 핫 이슈인 주식 분할(Stock Split)에 대해서 알아보겠습니다.

많은 분들을 웃고 울린 게임스톱(GME)의 주식 분할 공시인데요.

 

2022년 3월 31일 연례 주주 총회에서 밝힌 내용으로, 아래의 내용을 통해 확인 가능합니다.

 

 

On March 31, 2022, GameStop Corp. (the “Company” or “GameStop”) announced its plan to request stockholder 

approval at the upcoming 2022 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the “Annual Meeting”) for an increase in the number 

of authorized shares of Class A common stock from 300,000,000 to 1,000,000,000 through an amendment to the 

Company’s Third Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation (the “Charter Amendment”) in order to implement

a stock split of the Company’s Class A common stock in the form of a stock dividend and provide flexibility for future

corporate needs.

GameStop also intends to request stockholder approval at the Annual Meeting for a new incentive plan 

(the “2022 Equity Plan”) to support future compensatory equity issuances.

즉, 날짜와 같은 자세한 내용은 전혀 밝혀진게 없지만, 수량의 경우에는 10 for 3 로 분할하는 것 같은데요.

*시간이 좀 지나봐야 윤곽이 나올 것 같습니다.

 

 

 

 

다만, 장마감 이후 해당 내용에 따라 게임스톱의 시간외주가가 큰 폭으로 상승하고 있는데요.


1주일 전인가.. 라이언 코헨 GME 회장이 자사주를 매입하면서 큰 폭의 주가 상승을 이끌었던 만큼, 

최근 핫한 종목으로 떠오르고 있습니다.

 

 

저번처럼 밈(Meme) 주식으로 끝이 날 것인지, 아니면 유통가를 휩쓸 주역이 될 것인지는 두고봐야겠네요.
