아마존 20대 1 액면 분할 공시 분석 [과거 액분 당시 주가 비교]

최근 주가가 많이 조정을 받은 아마존이 20대 1의 주식 액면 분할, 

그리고 12조원에 달하는 자사주 매입을 결정했는데요.

Board Approval of Stock Split
[주식 분할]

 

 

 

 

On March 9, 2022, the Board of Directors of Amazon.com, Inc. (the “Company”) approved a 20-for-1 split of

the Company’s common stock to be effected through an amendment to the Company’s Restated Certificate of

Incorporation (the “Amendment”). The Amendment will also effect a proportionate increase in the number of

shares of authorized common stock.

The stock split and the proportionate authorized share increase are subject to shareholder approval of the 

Amendment at the 2022 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “Annual Meeting”), which is currently scheduled to 

take place on May 25, 2022. The Company’s definitive proxy statement relating to the Annual Meeting will include 

additional details regarding the Amendment.

Subject to shareholder approval of the Amendment, each Company shareholder of record at the close of business

on May 27, 2022 will have 19 additional shares for every one share held as of such date reflected in their accounts

on or about June 3, 2022. Trading is expected to begin on a split-adjusted basis on June 6, 2022.

어쨌든, 자사주매입, 주식 분할 모두가 주주 환원 정책의 일환으로 주가 상승에 일조하는 정책으로 대표되곤 하는데요.

역시나 관련 내용 발표 이후, 주가가 상승하였습니다.

 

그렇다면, 과거 아마존의 액면분할 이후 주가 추이는 어땠을까요?

 

아마존은 총 3회의 액면분할을 진행했었는데요. 아주 과거의 데이터라 유의미하지는 않겠지만, 

그래도 혹시나 참고가 되실까해서 공유드립니다.
